School holiday workshop for girls 7 to 12 yrs

Here at LDC we are passionate about experiences that give kids the opportunity to be creative and build their confidence. This coming school holidays we are excited to launch a new experience and workshop for kids - Little Business School!

Little Business School is a full day school holiday workshop for girls aged 7 and 12. The workshop aims to fuel the entrepreneurial fire in young girls. At the workshop they will:

  • Gain practical insight into building a small business - using Little Designer Club as a case study.
  • Get creative and collaborative building a business idea with a small team of girls, lead by business coach from PwC, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
  • Build their confidence by pitching their idea at the end of the day.
  • Get to design and build a LDC handbag and necklace for themselves and for a child in need.

When and where:

8:30am - 4:30pm on Tuesday 24th September, 2019

Kew Primary School, 20 Peel Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101

Schedule for the day:

8:30am - Arrival and accreditation

9:00am to 10:30am - Session 1

10:30am to 10:45am - Morning Tea

10:45am to 12:30pm - Session 2

12:30pm to 1:00pm - Lunch

1:00pm to 1:30pm - Giving back to children in need

1:30pm to 3:15pm - Session 3

3:15pm to 3:30pm - Afternoon tea

3:30pm to 4:30pm - Pitches and Graduation

Do parent / carer need to stay?

Parents and carers do not need to stay. Parents and carers are welcome to come from 3:15pm to watch the pitches and graduation.

What do you need to bring:

Participants need to bring morning tea and lunch. Afternoon tea and everything else will be provided.

Who is running the workshop:

The workshop will be run by:

  • Lauren Jauncey and Jacquie Sharples co-owners of Little Designer Club
  • Business coaches from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

There will be a minimum ratio of 1 coach / leader to 10 children on the day. All coaches have a working with children check.

What does it cost:

$99 per child.


Bookings are essential. The workshop is limited to 50 children.

Do I need to book?

Yes. If you do not book, you can turn up on the day, however each workshop is limited to 50 children. You do not need to book for adults - only kids who will be participating.

What if I book and then cannot make it?

We understand how life is with kids! Simply email us at if you can no longer make your booking. We will not give refunds however it can be exchanged for a $90 LDC gift voucher.

Is it for boys or girls?

This one is just for girls. We feel like girls need a little extra boost to ensure our future looks eqitable and bright for both boys and girls.

Can the parent stay?

The workshop is for kids. Parents are not required to stay, however they are welcome to stay and watch if they would like to.
